Chris began working in commercial photography as an assistant in 1990. The work demanded exact composition, measured light and a clear answer to one question: what must the image communicate at first glance?Chris 於 1990 年由商業攝影助手開始入行。當時的工作要求構圖準確、光線精準，亦必須先回答一個問題：觀眾第一眼要從照片接收到甚麼？
His career has crossed the film and digital eras, and has included assignments for brands, organisations, public bodies and public figures. Read the person.
先理解人物。The purpose of the portrait, the person in front of the lens and how they want to be seen come before a lighting diagram.先了解照片的用途、鏡頭前的人，以及對方希望如何被看見，才開始決定光線。
Build the light.
建立光線。Light is shaped for the face, clothing and intended use of the image—not applied as a fixed studio recipe.按面部輪廓、衣著與照片用途建立光線，而不是把同一套影樓公式套在每個人身上。
Direct the frame.
逐步現場引導。Angle, posture, hands, gaze and expression are guided one adjustment at a time, including for people who never feel natural on camera.角度、姿勢、雙手、眼神與表情會逐項引導，即使不習慣面對鏡頭，也不需要自己猜怎樣擺。
Refine by hand.
最後人手精修。The final portrait is cleaned and balanced by hand. The person is refined, never replaced or regenerated.成品由人手整理膚色、碎髮與畫面細節；只修飾，不重造，更不會生成另一張臉。
